Three presentations will take place during this session.

Teamwork: building support for a multi-modal future (Suzanne Carlson):  How can low-density cities shift from auto-oriented design and decisions to invest in multi-modal options? Innovate Memphis will discuss its work with Commute Options workplace partnerships and the coalition of bicycling and walking advocates that are restoring people-centered communities in your host city.

Creating Healthy, Sustainable, Equitable Communities by Maximizing the Synergies between Walkability and Quality Public Transit (Allan Henderson)

Streetsmart: Collaborative Platform for Transportation Evidence and Insight (Kelly Rodgers)
In this session, participants will explore and provide feedback to Streetsmart, a collaborative, evidence-based transportation planning tool. Streetsmart arms planners, public health professionals, elected officials and others with the best available data about the effect of transportation investments. Streetsmart also has a wealth of resources available to help them learn about how to frame conversations, anticipate challenges, and problem-solve.   Streetsmart is built with the help of faculty and students who research and interpret the empirical evidence and translate it into actionable information for practitioners.
